Alice Dixson defends yellow ball dress during GMA Thanksgiving Gala

By Kristian Eric Javier

Alice Dixson took to Instagram to explain why she was wearing a canary yellow gown made by Gakuya by Kim Gan on GMA Thanksgiving Gala last July 30 at the Shangri-la Fort Bonifacio. The event was described as a formal black and white event.

This is in response to critics who got irked, reprimanding her for wearing a yellow gown, calling her a gate crasher, and getting bashed through other social media outlets. Others, meanwhile, said that she spoiled the preparations made for the said event.

“For me (and I looked it up ha!) ang isang Formal Black and White event is simply that, an event,” she said in her post.

She also added that there are no indications in the invitation she received that guests can only wear black or white. She also showed a video of her researching the meaning of the formal event, as well as a picture of the invitation to prove her point.

Alice also said that while she was sorry for hurting the bashers' feelings or sensibilities, she was still able to accomplish her goals for the night which she enumerated were to give thanks, mingle and meet her colleagues and the bosses, and have fun.

“Please naman, wag naman kasi kayo masyado judgemental,” Dixson said, also asking what her bahsers have done so far.

Fans meanwhile expressed their support for Dixson by saying that she shouldn't mind the bashers and that it's crazy of people to get mad just because of the color of her dress.

The GMA Thanksgiving Gala was held to give thanks and a special tribute to GMA Network Chairman and CEO, Atty. Felipe L. Gozon.

Other attendees of the gala were celebrity couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera, Kylie Padilla, Bea Alonzo who reunited with former loveteam John Lloyd Cruz, Alden Richards, among others.
